Everyone is dying all around us at different paces and all we seem to want in the our free time and in this modern world is more money! It seems the drive is to get more and more, which means more success for my family, over yours. How insincere and selfish it is to feel this way. As if anyone else would do the same to promote their own, and they might when they're desperate. The rat race fools us all into thinking that we are better than our own selfish pre-programmed motivators in this endless sea of hunger. I feel like we are just a bunch of lost souls clamoring over each other on the reverse-image of the River Styx. We have already gone and passed this life on, but this toilsome memory of a life we once lived at the mercy of the material still serves to remind us that we are not done evolving. We have more to do in the evolution of our heart-mind, our consciousness has not quite attained that lofty height where it can shed its material pursuits. I thought I was above it all, fooled by my ego, a component of the very system that we fight against; Alas, I am like you and we are wired into this energetic reciprocal system of checks and balances. It's all built-in resistance. We are part of the machine experiencing itself, believing that we have free will, and especially that we are in control of our own destinies. We cannot even control our own spiritual density, how could we even consider the former?
