Devotees represent a being that is disciplined in their art or craft. Maybe it is a spiritual practice that they do over and over to the point where they have almost mastered that practice...or themselves in the pursuit of their goal. I choose Devotees as a symbol of inspiration because I also want to aspire to do great things with my consciousness. I want to live and love in the highest and purest form of my consciousness and to do so takes a certain level of self-mastery.
We must look past our pre-programmed patterns that have been with us since childhood. We must unlearn all of the junk that we have filled our minds with throughout our time here on Mother Gaia. To be born as a human being, although I am not religious, I believe is a deeply spiritual and important undertaking by our souls. We chose to come here to this plane of existence so that we can learn how to become our best and brightest selves. We came here to learn how to pray, feel what it feels like to devote ourselves to someone, or some ideology, a higher calling.
In a nutshell, this is the motivation behind the Devotees in my art. I also appreciate the fact that most of the devotees are without a face, or persona. They are without identity as they become lost in the pursuit of their higher spiritual goals. Developing their inner body temple to be able to facilitate a higher connection with Source or Spirit or whatever you wish to call that divine spark that illuminates us all!
Peace Be With You,
